The saniwa sage that summoned him! He's quiet and uncertain and definitely a lot smaller than Mutsu's last master but he thinks Haru has a lot of potential. He admires him-- a lot-- and considers Haru's compassion and ethic to be the his greatest strength. Mutsu is completely loyal to Haru and if he can, he'll keep serving his family too.

Pretty okay for a Shinsengumi punk. He thinks Kashuu is stubborn, petty, and and needy as heck but he knows he can count on Kashuu to have his back when he needs him most. Maybe in the next century, he'll admit they're friends but right now he's going to keep fighting for Haru's attention because we can't all just be really forward with what we want.

Mutsu's a punk that likes to tease and scrap but Kousetsu is a sword that he really respects and admires. Mutsu likes to call himself a pacifist sword but Kousetsu is a real pacifist. He feels calmer around him and if he can, he'd like to help Kousetsu avoid conflict if possible. Could effectively use a disappointed dad voice on Mutsu.

Mutsu is biased for tiny tantou and Sayo isn't an exception. It makes him sad whenever Sayo talks about revenge because Mutsu knows exactly what that can and can't do for a spirit. When he shares with Sayo, he wants him to not only have a life as good as his but better.

Rough around the edges but Mutsu's pretty unrefined himself so they cool. He knows Doudanuki is a lot softer than he likes to admit and while Mutsu isn't going to out him to the world, he won't stop teasing just because he knows he can get away with it and also because he's down to fight.

Pure cinnamon roll Naki, new to the world and in need of a guide. Mutsu can understand what it's like to be a symbolic sword rather than a utilitarian one so he's sympathetic in that aspect. That said, he wants to show Naki everything there is to see in the time they have. Just because you're a busy guy doesn't mean you can't have time to try something new.

Actual grandpa... Mutsu's a pretty casual sword but he's a little intimidate by Mikazuki! He's very old and has a certain aura to him that gets Mutsu to get his act together and behave. That said, he's gotten used to Mikazuki now so he's able to act more like the scamp he is. Mutsu is convinced jiji needs to get out more.

Tiny tantou grandpa that Mutsu likes to pick up and spin around. Imano is definitely one of his favorites but again, he's biased for tiny tantou spirits, especially ones that indulge Mutsu's playful side. It's easy to forget that Ima is older and it might be difficult to tell with all of his playing around but Mutsu does respect Ima.

What a punk. Stubborn, weird, cool, and rudely blunt for such a sharp sword. Despite always sending each other in for repairs, he trusts Yamato to have his back when it matters most and honestly, the fighting is kind of fun? At least he doesn't have to fight Yamato for attention too so there's that.

One of the first people Mutsu met in Cerealia! He considers nations to be like really powerful spirits so he has a lot of respect for her, especially since she's someone that exists because of the wills of thousands of people (wow). He's never been to Vietnam so he lives through her stories of home and loves to learn more about her home from her. He's convinced that Vietnam is as wonderful a place as she is a person and if he can, he'd like to visit.
